    Operation Grabber

    Execute: TBD

    Task Organization: 10RR

    Subsets: NEPTUNE, TF APOLLO

    1. Situation
      1. Area of Interest - AO Climber
        1. Terrain
          1. Obstacles & Fields of Fire.
          2. AO climber is a valley with little to no micro terrain or underbrush. The peaks of each side of the valley offers good views in all directions and clear line of sight across the valley. At the south side a lake dead ends the valley after a sheer drop off.
          3. Avenues of Approach.
          4. The Southwest Approach up the valley offers the best entrance to the AO giving to the sheer cliff face that bisects the start of the valley and the lake caldera. Use of helicopters to approach from dead ground on either side of the valley is the optimal approach area.
          5. Key Terrain.
          6. On the south end is the Lisivatnet Lake which is surrounded by trees. On the east side is a small volcanic cave system which offers good protection from observation and fires. On the west edge is a flat foothill just prior to the climb up the mountain side while still retaining a good field of view across the valley.
    2. Cover and Concealment.
    3. Dead ground and blind spots due to terrain elevation offers the best cover and concealment during maneuver. Dispersed trees and small rocks offer the best cover during firefights.
    4. Weather.
    5. Weather Forecasts show an 80% chance for sleet or rain showers.
    6. Time and Light Conditions.
    7. TBD

    1. Enemy Forces.
      1. Size.
      2. Reinforced Company expected
      3. Capabilities.
      4. Enemy is an irregular armed civilian clothed insurgent force augmented by rebels of the wolf brigade. They have no NVGs or MANPADs. They are expected to be using civilian vehicles modified for combat.
      5. Recent Activity.
      6. Activity has seen an uptick with the arrival of the HVTs to the AO. They are starting to package up material and personnel and ship to a consolidation point that has not yet been Identified. They are hunkering down and keeping patrols tight to the points of interest with a few patrols moving up and down the valley. Mounted enemies have been seen outside of the AO and fighting may draw them into it.
      7. Expected Course of Action.
      8. Enemy is expected to fight on position until relieved by QRFs outside of the AO.
    2. Friendly Forces
      1. Higher Units.

      3. Adjacent Units.
