1. Situation
   1. Area of Interest - AO Abstain
      1. Terrain
         1. Obstacles & Fields of Fire.
         2. AO Abstain is a peninsula dotted with small villages, steep hills, dense woodland, and swampy low grounds.
         3. Avenues of Approach. 
         4. The Terrain naturally pushes approach from the NE over a shallow river and up a series of hills. A few roads and tracks provide North South Access and movement but otherwise the terrain limits any flanking maneuvers.
         5. Key Terrain.  
         6. A Series of three prominent hills commands the northern half of the AO while the airbase in the south commands that side. A shallow river guards the entrance to the AO from the north.
2. Cover and Concealment.
3. Rocks and Forested terrain offer decent cover and concealment as well as hills providing fields of dead ground.
4. Weather.
5. Clear. Cold.
6. Time and Light Conditions.

9. Enemy Forces. 
   1. Size.
   2. Expecting Weakened Battalion of Mechanized Rebel forces. Mainly consisting of M113s. Finnish military reports old BTRs and Possibly a T-72 had previously been stored in and around the occupied airstrip.
   3. Capabilities.
   4. Primarily light infantry with NO NVG or MANPAD capability. Enemy has a few prepared positions so mines are expected.
   5. Recent Activity.
   6. Enemy is attempting to leave the country as events have taken a turn against them. Most units in the area have been destroyed, heavily damaged, or have partially left the country. The units still here are believed to be the rear guard elements of the enemy who have left and are expected to be the last units to leave. They have been digging in and the Finnish air force has locked down air travel now that it has identified the route of escape.
   7. Expected Course of Action.
   8. Rebel forces are expected to be occupying a series of strong points leading to the air base then the air base itself. Enemy has traditionally paired strongpoints in groups of three with each position being a platoon sized element with a platoon in patrol or OPs.
10. Friendly Forces
    1. Higher Units.
    2. Karelia Brigade - Commanding.
    3. Adjacent Units.
    4. Karelia Brigade has occupied previous terrain and is awaiting keypoint assaults and culmination of 10th RR to allow for their follow on attack.
    5. Supporting Units. 432d Wing (USAF) Drone Support.
11. Civilian Considerations. Civilians have been confirmed evacuated from the peninsula for some time. Limit damage to the airbase if possible.

14.  Mission.  

10th RR is to conduct a series of Hardpoint assaults IOT to open the way to seize the airbase. If still capable after key point assaults 10th RR is too assault the airbase to soften or scrap the Karelian Brigade mission.

   1. Ammunition & Reinsertion will be provided by 160th SOAR assets or via ground ferry. No reinsertions will be brought in via teleportation, except for technical issues.
   2. This operation is projected to have engagement distances within X meters.
