    Operation Woodworks

    Execute: 01/11/2026

    Task Organization: 10RR

    Subsets: NEPTUNE, TF APOLLO

    1. Situation
      1. Area of Interest - AO Calcium
        1. Terrain Korsac, Estonia
          1. Obstacles & Fields of Fire. Korsac is mostly open with long sightlines across fields and shallow rolling ground. Engagements often occur at medium to long range, with only minor terrain folds breaking line of sight. Drainage lines, small streams, and field boundaries create light obstacles and limited defilade rather than hard movement blockers.
          2. Avenues of Approach. Movement is flexible due to permissive terrain. Vehicles can maneuver cross-country in many areas, though roads remain the fastest and most reliable routes between towns. Farm tracks allow wide flanking maneuvers, while bridges and road junctions still act as natural control points.
          3. Key Terrain. Subtle terrain features matter. Low ridges, embankments, and settlement edges that overlook roads or open fields provide valuable overwatch. Towns, crossroads, and isolated compounds dominate movement and serve as anchors for both attack and defense.
          4. Cover and Concealment. Cover is sparse outside built-up areas. Infantry rely on hedgerows, tree belts, walls, and shallow depressions for concealment. Urban areas provide the best hard cover. Vehicles must use hull-down positions behind minor rises and avoid silhouetting in open fields.
        2. Weather. Cold and Dry
        3. Time and Light Conditions. Commanders Intent

    1. Enemy Forces.
      1. Size. Enemy forces are dispersed but organized into locally raised militia units operating under a coordinated command structure. Manpower density remains high in population centers, key terrain, and along major routes, with the ability to rapidly mobilize trained personnel.
      2. Capabilities. Enemy units field a mixed but serviceable inventory of small arms, including AK-pattern rifles, Sten guns, AR-18s, M16s, FALs, and M1/M2 Carbines, supported by vehicle-mounted M2 .50 caliber and DShKM heavy machine guns. The force has limited access to heavy armor and indirect fire assets, employed in small numbers and localized engagements rather than massed formations. Mobility relies on civilian vehicles, small boats, and limited rotary-wing capability, with minimal and non-integrated air defense.
      3. Recent Activity. Enemy forces have engaged in frequent low- to mid-intensity skirmishes with the Estonian Defense Force, demonstrating coordinated unit-level maneuver and effective local intelligence, resulting in incremental territorial gains and consolidation of key terrain.
      4. Expected Course of Action. Enemies are likely to defend their positions and inflict maximum damage on Allied Forces before retreating to other positions.
    2. Friendly Forces
      1. Higher Units. N/A
      2. Adjacent Units. N/A
      3. Supporting Units. N/A
    3. Civilian Considerations. Civilian presence is extremely likely in the area. All civilians in military areas are assumed to be hostile and should be detained.
    4. Attachments/Detachments.  N/A
    5.  Mission.

The 10th Ranger Regiment has been deployed to Korsac, Estonia, to prevent WRE forces from advancing deeper into Eastern Estonia. After debriefing with Estonian Military operatives in the region, multiple POIs have been identified for opportune strikes.

POI001 is a farm depot north of friendly-held territory. A large strike force has been seen assembling in the area, as well as munitions and sustainment supplies being brought to the frontline in preparation for a large-scale push south.

POI002 is a chain of wooded camps and HQs west of POI001. Enemy forces patrol the area, and sustainment housing and supplies lie in the region.

POI003 is the town of Kirvansk, a WRE-controlled town with multiple vehicle depos and C2 elements. A comms tower vital to WRE operations lies to the south of the city.

The destruction of the forward element and the comms tower has been deemed vital to the retention of ground in the Korsac region.

    1. Sustainment
      1. Ammunition & Reinsertion will be provided by 160th SOAR assets or via ground ferry. No reinsertions will be brought in via teleportation, except for technical issues.
