    Operation Imperium

    Execute: 11/02/2025

    Task Organization: 10RR

    Subsets: NEPTUNE, TF APOLLO

    1. Situation
      1. Area of Interest - AO Kuat [Imarat West to Bastam]
        1. Terrain North Sudan
          1. Obstacles & Fields of Fire. West to East running valley with rolling terrain throughout the valley floor.
          2. Avenues of Approach. One MSR runs along the valley from West to East, with an additional ASR running parallel on the south side. The gentle slope throughout the valley allows for numerous footpaths and goat trails.
          3. Key Terrain. High ridgelines and hilltops overlook the single MSR through the valley, as well as provide a commanding view of the AO.
          4. Cover and Concealment. Sparse vegetation and open ground give little concealment, but wadis, rocks, and compound walls provide solid cover. Reverse slopes and terrain folds allow limited hidden movement.
        2. Weather. Hot and Dry
        3. Time and Light Conditions. Dawn

    1. Enemy Forces.
      1. Size. Enemy elements are dense in numbers, with any civilian capable of being an enemy combatant.
      2. Capabilities. Enemy weaponry includes old Soviet bloc weaponry, from AKMs and PKMs to sparse M16s and M249s. RPGs and mounted emplacements are common sights. Enemy armor is heavily limited to makeshift technicals and poorly maintained Soviet light armor. The enemy is believed to have refurbished four late Cold War era T-72s.
      3. Recent Activity. The enemy has been massing forces within Imarat and Bastam, with the intention of defending the valley against Coalition Forces. They have moved light forces inwards, establishing camps and hardpoints within civilian domiciles along the valley.
      4. Expected Course of Action. Enemies are likely to defend their positions and inflict maximum damage on Allied Forces before retreating to other positions. It is expected that QRF will be continuous from the West. Enemy deliberate counter attack can be expected throughout Operation Tarkin.
    2. Friendly Forces
      1. Higher Units. N/A
      2. Adjacent Units. N/A
      3. Supporting Units. N/A
    3. Civilian Considerations. Civilian presence is extremely likely in the area. All civilians in military areas are assumed to be hostile and should be detained.
    4. Attachments/Detachments.  N/A
    5.  Mission.

The 10th Ranger Regiment has been tasked with seizing key terrain and enemy infrastructure within AO Kuat. The town of Imarat on the eastern side is used as a strongpoint, defending the valley interior and supply lines between Imarat and Bastam. The valley between the two towns is used as a major supply route. The enemy in the region has also been observed building makeshift camps, and hard pointing civilian domiciles within the area. Bastam has been occupied and militarized as well, with the Mosque being established as a makeshift C2 post.

    OBJ Tarkin - Imarat

Rangers are tasked with seizing the town of Imarat and dislodging enemy forces from the major Military Installation present within the town. This will allow Friendly Ground Forces to follow and assume, creating a coalition foothold on the East side of the valley.

    OBJ Corellia - Valley

Rangers are tasked with seizing the terrain between Imarat and Bastam. Dislodging enemy forces, destroying fortifications and supplies and blocking hostile ground QRF toward Imarat.

    OBJ Thrawn - Bastam

Rangers are tasked with seizing the vital crossroads within the town of Bastam, as well as destroying the enemy Command & Control installation within the Mosque.
