    Operation Sword

    Execute: 1900EST 01MAR2026

    Task Organization: 10th Ranger Regiment

    Subsets: NEPTUNE, TF APOLLO

    1. Situation
      1. Area of Interest - AO Spear
        1. Terrain
          1. Obstacles & Fields of Fire. Rolling Farmland, intermixed hedgerows, various ponds & streams. 
          2. Avenues of Approach. MSR Tampa, ASR Queens, ASR Brooklyn, ASR Manhattan, ASR Bronx
          3. Key Terrain.  Bonfire Hill, Pinewood Lake
    2. Cover and Concealment. Hedgerows protruding through farmland provide concealment on advance, 
    3. Weather. Thunderstorms, 18°C
    4. Time and Light Conditions.  0030LT SP, New Moon 

    1. Enemy Forces. 
      1. Size. Estimated 15 armed military-aged males within OBJ LANCE, an additional 30 are suspected to be present within AO Spear within NAI 001 & 002. 
      2. Capabilities. Surplus Eastern Bloc weapons, primarily AK-pattern rifles. Suspected to possess a handful of PKMs & RPGs. Enemy Forces are known to use civilian handheld radios to communicate, and operate soft-skin vehicles. Enemy forces are not assessed to possess armored vehicles or air assets.
      3. Recent Activity. Utilizing OBJ Lance as a Safe House for Ivan Ivanochich. HUMINT & ISR confirm that enemy forces have assumed a degraded Force Protection Posture following recent lull in hostilities. 
      4. Expected Course of Action. Attempt to deter assault on Safe House via direct fires and grenades to allow the HVI to break contact towards Pinewood Lake.
      5. Most Dangerous Course of Action. Most Dangerous Course of Action: Successfully delay assault forces long enough to allow HVI escape while retaining sufficient combat power to link in with QRF elements and conduct a counterassault.

    3. Civilian Considerations. OBJ LANCE and AO SPEAR are densely populated with civilians. Mostly Farmers in the outlying terrain, but the town of Figari has a population of roughly 160. 
    4. Attachments/Detachments.  NA
    5.  Mission. 10th Ranger Regiment is tasked with conducting a raid on two structures within OBJ Lance suspected to be a safehouse for Ivan Ivanochich, the leader of a local resistance group. The mission objective is to detain and extract Ivan Ivanochich with minimal civilian casualties & property damage. 

    1. Sustainment
      1. Ammunition & Reinsertion will be provided by 160th SOAR assets or via ground ferry. No reinsertions will be brought in via teleportation, except for technical issues.
      2. This operation is projected to have engagement distances between 100-400 meters.
