Obstacles & Fields of Fire. Block Island features dense forests, stone walls, and compact villages that limit long-range fires and favor short- to mid-range engagements. Open fields and coastal cliffs provide brief overwatch, while the Great Salt Pond and inlets create vehicle obstacles and predictable choke points.
Avenues of Approach. Movement is canalized along the island’s primary road loop connecting major towns, with narrow farm tracks offering limited flanking. Coastal or air insertions are possible but quickly funnel inland due to terrain and vegetation.
Key Terrain. Elevated ground overlooking the main road network, the central corridor around the Great Salt Pond, and road junctions near Springfolk and Meadow Wood are decisive, as they control observation, fires, and island-wide movement.
Cover and Concealment. Thick woodland, hedgerows, stone walls, and built-up areas offer layered concealment and protected movement for dismounted forces, supporting ambush and infiltration. Vehicles are significantly more exposed in open terrain and must rely on defilade, terrain masking, and structures to survive.

Size. Gendarmerie forces maintain a widespread and persistent presence across the island, effectively exercising military control through checkpoints, patrols, and rapid-response elements. Personnel density is highest in urban centers and along main routes, enabling a quick surge of forces.
Capabilities. Line units operate with light or no body armour and are primarily equipped with MP5 submachine guns, FAMAS rifles, and P226 sidearms, emphasizing mobility and internal security tasks. SWAT elements employ advanced HK weaponry optimized for medium- to long-range engagements (HK416 platforms and precision rifles) and are protected by near-peer-level ballistic vests. Upper-tier units widely utilize NVGs. Mobility centers on technicalized vehicles with .50-calibre mounts, with limited medium armour reserved mainly for SWAT transport. Mission.
The 10th Ranger Regiment has been hastily deployed off the southern coast of Block Island, France, following the arrest of Vice President Pahjeet on the island, pending charges of solicitation and bribery. The overequipped local Police Force has recently overtaken the island, and its ties to the French Government have been severed. Vice President Pahjeet managed to use local contacts inside the prison to contact the 10th Ranger forces and plan and mobilize his rescue. Multiple objectives have been deemed vital to operational success by the VP.
POI001 is a large-scale Supermax prison used to imprison any dissidents of the newly formed Police State. President Pahjeet has been imprisoned inside, but his whereabouts in the compound are unknown. Large amounts of SWAT forces alongside local prison guards have been spotted by ISR.
POI002 is a bank located inside the city of Chadlington, north of POI001. President Pahjeet was carrying a multitude of the United States’ gold with him upon his arrest, and it has been transferred to the island's largest bank to be used as a bargaining tool. ISR spotted heavy patrols in the city and civilians under a stay-at-home order.
POI003 is a small resort city called Lakeside, located to the west of POI002. The Vice President has deemed the rescue of multiple “high-value ladyboys” vital to the success of the mission. Due to this being the location of the Vice President’s arrest, the small tourist town has been locked down, and its civilians evacuated.
POI004 is a car dealership inside the town of Taunton. The Vice President’s car, a green Lada Riva, is being sold at a police auction inside, alongside multiple other vehicles. The Vice President has stated he “refuses to leave the island” without his vehicle being secured.
POI005 is a Dollar General inside the town of Springfolk. The Vice President’s local contacts have informed him that multiple Nuclear Warheads are being stored and sold at this location. The Vice President identified a local “Dollar General Defence Force” that protects local Dollar Generals following the attempted American rebellion after the island was overtaken by the Police State. These forces work hand-in-hand with local police forces and serve as a local militia quelling rebellions in rural areas. The Vice President has ordered the 10th Ranger Regiment to seize the nuclear devices and use one to destroy the island’s National Park as recompense for his unlawful arrest.
The Vice President's orders have been received by the 10th Ranger Regiment, and the 10th Ranger Regiment has boarded the USS Nimitz to deploy on the island as soon as Sunday, December 14th.
