Operation Imperium
Execute: 10/26/2025
Task Organization: 10RR
Subsets: NEPTUNE, TF APOLLO
Situation
Area of Interest - AO Vanadium
Terrain North Sudan
Obstacles & Fields of Fire. North Sudan’s open deserts and rocky hills give wide fields of fire but few safe routes for vehicles. Hills and ridges favor defenders with strong overwatch positions, while wadis and rocks offer limited protection for infantry.
Avenues of Approach. Movement follows the main highway and a few dirt tracks. Off-road travel is slow and exposed, making road junctions and high passes key for control and maneuver.
Key Terrain. High ridgelines and hilltops overlook major roads and valleys, giving excellent observation and control of movement. Towns along the main highway serve as key strongpoints, while the airfields and nearby plateaus are critical for enemy movements
Cover and Concealment. Sparse vegetation and open ground give little concealment, but wadis, rocks, and compound walls provide solid cover. Reverse slopes and terrain folds allow limited hidden movement.
Weather. Hot and Dry
Time and Light Conditions. Dawn
Enemy Forces.
Size. Enemy elements are dense in numbers, with any civilian capable of being an enemy combatant
Capabilities. Enemy weaponry includes old Soviet bloc weaponry, from AKMs and PKMs to sparse M16s and M249s. RPGs and mounted emplacements are common sights. Enemy armor is heavily limited to makeshift technicals and poorly maintained Soviet light armor.
Recent Activity. The enemy has been largely growing in number and actively fighting the UN presence in the region.
Expected Course of Action. Enemies are likely to defend their positions and inflict maximum damage on Allied Forces before retreating to other positions.

Higher Units. N/A
Adjacent Units. N/A

Civilian Considerations. Civilian presence is extremely likely in the area. All civilians in military areas are assumed to be hostile and should be detained.

Mission.
Following the 10th Ranger Regiment operation conducted on 19OCT25, HUMINT intel has identified a communications lieutenant, a large military stockpile with an anti-air battery, and a vehicle depot, all located around the city of Par-E-Siah.
The Communications Lieutenant has been identified as Huseah Jalar, a former Sudanese Radio Operator who joined a Sudanese policing unit after being discharged for exhibiting aggressive behavior. After the fall of the local government during the local militia uprising, he joined the Sudan Rebel Militia as a communications specialist. He has been identified by HUMINT and has been tracked by ISR to a communications base at 050105.
A military stockpile, weapons factory, and oil storage site have been identified in the town of Par-E-Siah. Multiple bases consisting of large caches of equipment, as well as factories presumed to be producing heroin and weaponry. Large oil derricks have also been confiscated by militia forces, presumably to be sold or traded for advanced equipment from BRICS forces. Also, a small anti-air battery consisting of multiple ZU-23-2s has been spotted on the Eastern ridgeline, pointed towards the BLUFOR airbase.
A vehicle depot was also identified by HUMINT sources, just to the north-east of Par-E-Siah. It is presumed to simply hold a large stockpile of vehicles and armor. No other key factors have been identified for this location.
Sustainment
Ammunition & Reinsertion will be provided by 160th SOAR assets or via ground ferry. No reinsertions will be brought in via teleportation, except for technical issues.
This operation is projected to have engagement distances less than 500 meters.
