    Operation Swan

    Execute: 1900EST 08MAR2026

    Task Organization: 10th Ranger Regiment

    Subsets: NEPTUNE, TF APOLLO

    1. Situation
      1. Area of Interest - AO PELICAN
        1. Terrain
          1. Obstacles & Fields of Fire. Airfield surrounded by steep, rocky mountain slopes. Positions offering long-range fields of fire onto the airfield are extremely limited. Once within the exterior fence, berms, bunkers and structures offer commanding views of the runway and adjacent structures.
          2. Avenues of Approach. Approaches on the East of the Objective are extremely limited by steep cliffs and exposed rockfaces. The North and South offer difficult but traversable terrain.. The objective is fed by ASR Trenton and ASR Raleigh, on the North and South respectively. Both are fed by MSR PHILADELPHIA, which runs North to South.
          3. Key Terrain.  North and East mountains offer commanding positions over the objective.
    2. Cover and Concealment. Forested areas outside the airfield are thick and rocky. Additionally, microterrain screens most foot movement on approach. Within OBJ Huron, berms, structures and walls offer cover within the built up areas.
    3. Weather. Rain, 14°C
    4. Time and Light Conditions.  0430LT SP. The sun will be rising as the assault commences.

    1. Enemy Forces.
      1. Size. Estimated 35 armed military-aged males within OBJ HURON, an additional 30 are suspected to be present within AO Pelican within NAI 001 & 002.
      2. Capabilities. Surplus Eastern Bloc weapons, primarily AK-pattern rifles. Suspected to possess a handful of PKMs & RPGs. Enemy Forces are known to use civilian handheld radios to communicate, and operate soft-skin vehicles. Enemy forces are not assessed to possess armored vehicles or capable of utilizing aircraft. A number of captured Mi-type helicopters are confirmed present on the airfield.
      3. Recent Activity. Insurgent Forces seized OBJ HURON from government forces on 04MAR26, resulting in the partner forces withdrawing from the area and cordoning off MSR PHILADELPHIA to the North & South.
      4. Expected Course of Action. Insurgent Forces are expected to maintain fixed positions, and converge on the built up areas in an attempt to repel attack. It is expected that they will hardpoint key areas and attempt to make advance as slow and dangerous as possible. It is expected that QRF Forces from the South will be delayed by Partner Forces and take upwards of an hour to arrive.
      5. Most Dangerous Course of Action. Insurgent Forces successfully hardpoint structures and slow advance of Friendly Forces to a crawl, forcing them to retrograde and destroy the facilities with fires. In addition, if Partner Forces are unsuccessful in slowing the advance of QRF, Insurgent Forces may be able to organize a counter-attack.
    2. Friendly Forces
      1. Higher Units. Vice President Pahjeet, Secretary of Ranger Affairs
      2. Adjacent Units. N/A
      3. Supporting Units. 432d Wing (USAF) Drone Support.
    3. Civilian Considerations. No civilians are suspected to be present within AO Pelican.
    4. Attachments/Detachments.  NA
    5.  Mission. 10th Ranger Regiment conducts an airfield seizure on OBJ HURON in AO PELICAN at 0430LT 08MAR2026 in order to dislodge insurgent forces and return control of the facility to the local government while minimizing damage to airfield infrastructure.
