Operation Apollyon
Execute: 11/9/2025
Task Organization: 10RR
Subsets: NEPTUNE, TF APOLLO
Situation
Area of Interest - AO Xenon
Terrain Twin Lakes, Wisconsin
Obstacles & Fields of Fire. Twin Lakes’ wide basins and broken ridgelines create long fields of fire with very few protected vehicle routes. Elevated rock shelves and high ground give defenders dominant overwatch, while dry creek beds, boulders, and shallow folds in the earth offer only brief shelter for infantry.
Avenues of Approach. Most movement funnels through the main paved routes and a handful of rough service roads. Cutting across the open flats is slow, risky, and highly visible, making bridges, road splits, and narrow passes the decisive choke points for maneuver.
Key Terrain. Ridge crests, plateaus, and hilltops command the surrounding valleys and road networks, giving superior observation and control of traffic. Small towns and lakeside settlements act as natural defensive anchors, while the airstrips and elevated mesas are vital staging areas for any large-scale push.
Cover and Concealment. Vegetation is sparse, and the open terrain exposes most movement, but creek beds, scattered rock formations, and compound walls offer reliable hard cover. Using reverse slopes, shallow depressions, and terrain folds allows limited yet valuable concealed repositioning.
Weather. Unknown
Time and Light Conditions. Daytime
Enemy Forces.
Size. The enemy size is mostly unknown, but the total force size is expected to be in the thousands.
Capabilities. Scouting and surveillance footage have shown enemies using non-ballistic, laser-powered weaponry. Footage has also shown enemy spacecraft conducting ground strikes.
Recent Activity. The enemy has begun to occupy and pillage the surrounding area
Expected Course of Action. Enemies are likely to defend their positions and conduct counterattacks whenever possible.
Civilian Considerations. Civilians are to be expected in most areas.
